(photo Metrobus by my girlfriend Momo) 2 days ago, on Feb. 8 as controversial opened Metrobus line 3, which runs from Ethiopia to Tenayuca. There were protests from residents concerned and in the early hours of service had some flaws (as terra.com.mx ).
After a long wait, Marcelo Ebrard completed before the estimated time, on Monday I went through the avenues Balderas, Cuauhtémoc and Cuitlahuac and workers were cleaning and preparing everything, cleaned some Metrobus near parks, planting trees and swept the streets. I really liked how it was Vallejo Avenue is one of the most frequently as medians with plants built and looks good, but clean and really prefer the Metrobus to the buses that go after throwing little run and are very disrespectful handling (not all but many).
Unfortunately many people complained because the Metrobus is more slow at least for long trips like going Tenayuca to Ethiopia. For very short trips or long is fine. And according to the route of the entire line is made in 1 hour 10 min. My dad went to try on Tuesday, took him to Tenayuca before La Raza, said that this very well, very well organized but there were many people that day. (these photos are from February 8, the day the trucks were llenĂsimos) I know several people that if they benefit Metrobus much, and do not travel well to other modes of transport and not have to complicate your life as there are families with one car and the members go to different places.
car, was greatly reduced lanes in Vallejo to Tenayuca is not much traffic in the afternoon, but in the opposite direction is very complicated, I've seen a lot of traffic. But when the week is worse at night or early morning, by the reduction of lanes is a joke especially as almost all rounds of Vallejo are turn restrictions, one must move to the side to turn around and these are only 2 lanes, greatly complicated passenger trucks that go to the North Bus Station. At every turn there are people in transit and police taking care not to turn around and trying to maintain order.
I hope this good organization to maintain that after the improvements as medians with many plants and cleaner streets and hopefully continue to be maintained the policemen guarding every lap as if it would be if not a joke really. Personally I have not tried this new line, but once they do I'll tell you a little of my experience and some pictures show. I hope they are more positive effects of this work than negative.
